Hi all!

We had a great start to Folk Dancing by the Fountain last Tuesday night - our free, outdoor dancing series in Copley Square.
Yes - it was hot, but the breezes helped cool us off - great dancing weather after all.

Let’s begin with a big THANK YOU to our FAC stalwarts - Marcie Van Cleave and Andy Taylor - for making this happen!

Andy kicked off the series - and engaged the enthusiastic crowd with her dancing/teaching from the middle of the circle.
Fun to watch her in action (though it is fair to note she didn’t “get” anyone with a tie - next time!  :-) )

Kudos go to Sarah Bustin - who was everywhere - assisting Andy with the music, engaging passersby, taking pictures, and dancing.
Plus a big "shout out" to our sound tech Kem Stewart for providing great sound and trouble-shooting as needed.
Finally, a special thanks to all who lobbied hard for a return to Copley, especially Loumona and Lynn, and to the FAC Board for its support.

Great to be back at Copley Square - and we hope you will join us in the coming weeks - we’ll be there!
Next dance: Tuesday July 22: Conical Cacophony Balkan Brass band, with dances led by Henry Goldberg and Janet Yeracaris
