Dear FAC members -
As you may have heard, our friend Tomas Kafka passed away from complications of Parkinson’s disease, on May 12. I’m sure many of you join me in sharing our condolences with Suzanne.
Suzanne is arranging a memorial service for him, and she sent me this note to post on the FAClist, which provides the details of the service, along with a PDF containing additional information (attached).
Note: if the FAClist strips the PDF attachment, I will send a 2nd email to the list with the additional details in plain text format.

Tomas Kafka memorial
Sunday June 8, 1-4 PM
Weir MacCuish Funeral Home
Malden MA 02148
I ask people to share stories about, memories of Tom with the assembly. Most of the memorial should be filled by community members speaking. If people organize their thoughts ahead of time, I would love to have written copies, either in paper or in PDF.
There will be brief prayers from several faiths, and some recorded Dvorak punctuating the speaking.
The Weir home has about 26 parking slots on its property, and on-street parking should be available nearby. The home is about 5 blocks from the Malden Center Orange Line stop so people can come by T.
Afterwards 4ish to 6ish, there will be light refreshments at the home of kind neighbors, Bruce Marcus & Lori Factor-Marcus, at 46 Columbia Street. If folks want to add to the snacks with cookies or finger-friendly fresh veggies, feel free to do so. Music making and dancing are encouraged. If weather will permit, we can enjoy the Marcus' patio & back yard.
Thanks so much,
Suzanne Costanza
